If you don't have your shoes and/or undergarments for your wedding day yet, we say hold off on your dress alterations until you do have them. To get your perfect fit, the bust, waist, & hips are key areas to adjust. Your undergarments affect these areas and provide support to the dress. To get the length of your dress just right, your shoes play an important role. The height of the heels you wear affects not only your hemline but your posture too. ​ Changing your shoes and/or undergarments during the alterations process will affect the results of your final fitting.

Because every wedding dress is different and every bride's body is unique, quotes on alterations services are given after your first fitting, only after we are able to see you in your dress with our own eyes. Necessary alterations including the bustle, if applicable, and any customizations to achieve your dream dress are determined during your first fitting. Based on the extent of the work, we give you a quote for your alterations. Alterations on your dress begin once a 50% deposit of the quote is received. The quote is subject to change if you request any changes after the first fitting (including change of shoes or to accommodate weight fluctuation). The remaining balance is due by the final fitting or time of pick-up. Wedding dress alterations needed 3 weeks or less before the wedding may be subject to a rush fee.

We request you bring your dress in for alterations at least 12 weeks before your wedding. Dresses brought in 3 weeks or less before your big day may be subject to a rush alterations fee. We generally require three fitting appointments. We'll have 30 minutes together for your first fitting. During this time, we pin all necessary changes and you will decide on the style of bustle you prefer if applicable. The second and third fittings take under 30 minutes. By the second fitting, we'll be able to tell you if more than three fittings are needed. The final fitting typically takes place at least 2 weeks before your wedding.
